It's official. Sporting Kansas City selected South Florida forward Dom Dwyer with the 16th pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
The draft progressed rather nicely for Sporting in the first round as there were still a number of interesting prospects when Kansas City made their first round selection.
Dwyer should provide nice depth on the wings for Sporting Kansas City. He's also part of this year's Generation Adidas class, which means he won't count against Sporting Kansas City's salary cap.
Dwyer is 21 years old, and was born in London, England.
