to account for bringing his family over. considering the larger amt he will be paying for healthcare, residency fees, high cost of living in LA, of all places one of the most expensive parts of the country to live it. They have to be doing something else, such as helping to get the residency/green card worked out for them too. Kansas CIty would have been much much cheaper, and we still have some of the best health centers in the US.
