Cesar, Hedrick, Warzycha, Markovic waived

Here's the press release: http://www.sportingkc.com/news/2012/11/sporting-kansas-city-waives-four-players

Julio Cesar is far and away the biggest name on the list, and his release from the team tells me two things:

-As the highest-paid player on the 2012 roster (I think only Paulo Nagamura may have been paid as much), releasing Julio frees up a significant chunk of cash to pay Roger to entice him to stay.

-But, if (as I expect) Roger jumps ship for England or elsewhere, that means SKC is out two of their three primary defensive midfielders from this reason, retaining only the injury-prone Paulo. IMO, this speaks volumes about the amount of faith the coaching staff have in Oriol Rosell, and that faith probably isn't misplaced...after all, in what relatively little we saw of him this year, he played very well. But this is basically the team saying that Uri is the man going forward.

In any case, best of luck to Julio, Konrad, Neven, and Cyprian in the future.
