Sporting Kansas City has traded two draft picks and allocation money for New England Revolution midfielder Benny Feilhaber.
Sporting KC's long awaiting announcement came to fruition on Tuesday, as it was announced they had acquired Benny Feilhaber.
Feilhaber is a 27 year old midfielder who played for the New England Revolution from 2011-2012. He also spent some time in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, BPL with Derby County, but spent most of his time with Danish Superliga side AGF Aarhus.
He has also played for the U.S National Team, earning some minutes in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Sporting KC gave up a first round draft pick in 2014, a second round draft pick in 2015 and some allocation money in the trade.
Feilhaber scored 2 goals in 12 appearances for New England last year, one of those coming in the US Open Cup. However his main skill is his excellent passing. Should be a good addition for Sporting KC.
