MLS Defender of the Year Matt Besler has been re-signed by Sporting Kansas City.
Sporting KC CEO Robb Heineman chose an unorthodox way of announcing the re-signing of star defender Matt Besler, choosing to release pictures on Twitter of Besler signing his contract.
Regardless, the sentiment is the same. Besler will be back in Kansas City next year for another hopefully great season.
The terms of the contract are as of yet undisclosed, but it is known that Besler turned down offers from Barclay's Premier League club Queens Park Rangers among others to re-sign with Sporting KC.
This move is the first of two moves that are supposed to be announced today by Robb Heineman.
