Rumor: Sporting Kansas City In Talks With Another Former Real Madrid Footballer?

It would seem as if another Spanish footballer could possibly be on their way to Sporting Kansas City. Today mirror football posted that Blackburn Rovers right back Michel Salgado is currently in talks with Sporting KC and Toronto FC. The 36 year old battled with injury problems last year for the now relegated-threatened Blackburn Rovers side but headed into the 2011/2012 season as the starting right back.

However, the former Real Madrid player who has played with the likes of Beckham, Figo, and Zidane is apparently not being allowed to play for Blackburn even though he has publicly revealed he is fit.

Again, this is another rumor that I just don't see coming true. Chance Myers has his position at starting right back for Sporting KC more than locked up, and behind him MLS veteran Michael Harrington can provide cover. Another reason I don't see/don't like this move is that Michel is 36. Coming into a team where the average age of the back line is about 24 it just doesn't seem to make any sense.
