Sporting Kansas City made the international friendly against Ligue 1 champions Montpellier HSC official today. The match will take place on July 24th at LSP and tickets start at $20, unless you are a season ticket holder, in which case the tickets have already been added to your account. Of course, The Daily Wiz was well aware of the upcoming match before the announcement came as a slip up in the schedule online revealed a match that had never officially been announced. I was wondering if we would get another international friendly in addition to the one scheduled against Stoke City of the Barclays Premier League in England on the 1st of August and it looks as if we have. For a while though it looked as if Paris Saint-Germain were going to be the French team to go across the pond and play KC and In all honesty I would have preferred them over Montpellier because of the players PSG has and the way they play football is a lot more attractive. But one should not complain, the idea of an international friendly with a club from Europe in KC was next to unheard of a couple of years ago and I am more than satisfied to watch MHSC come to LSP to play, it should be a good match. However, the game does come around a busy part of the season for Sporting KC as it falls right in the middle of two league matches and will be the 4th game in ten days for the men in blue. Meaning we will probably see more reserve members take the pitch against Montpellier's players, which include the likes of Arsenal transfer target Olivier Giroud, and pacy French center back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
